Mardi Gras Make Up Tutorial

Step 1:

Prep the skin.
Wash, Primer, liquid foundation and translucent powder.

Step 2:

Pick out a blue eyeshadow and cover your lid from the inner corner to the outer corner in it. Do not put this color on your lower lash line.

Step 3:

Purple Eyeshadow.
Load your brush up with your favorite purple eyeshadow(I used Hot Looks - Glamif Eyeshadow Pallete)
Drag the color over your crease(above the blue) from the outer corner to the inner corner.

Step 4:

Wings.
Using a darker blue line the outer V/Corner of your eye(top and bottom lashes) and drag it up into two wings/lines/tails/whateveryouwanttocallthem.

Step 5:

Yellow.
Load the brush up with yellow and brush the color alone the lower lash line(Outlining the blue wings) and along your brow bone. Don't forget to blend your colors!

Step 6:
Orange Stripe.
Using Orange, or Copper make a wing/stripe in between the blue wings.
If you want to be fancy with this you can swirl it at the end. I wanted to keep it simple with single line.

Step 7:

Liner.
I like to use a black eyeshadow to line my eyes.
It gives a softer look and if you mess up it's much easier to clean off.
Liner your upper lashes from the inner corner to the outer corner. On the lower lashes just slightly line the outer corner.

Step 8:

Final step, Mascara.
I always use two mascaras.
Maybelline Falsies and Avon's Jillian Dempsey Professional.
Two gives my lashes the weight needed to create a bold look to stand against the colors of the eyeshadow.
I use falsies first, then follow up with Avon. And I use both on my lower lashes as well for an added bonus.
And that's all~
If you do this make up I'd love to see a picture (:

That sounded better in my head ._.
